Switzerland and Georgia have maintained diplomatic relations since 1992. Over the years, our bilateral relations have developed across a wide range of areas, including economic relations, development cooperation, peacebuilding, culture, education and people-to-people exchanges.
Switzerland is committed to supporting Georgia’s sustainable development. Through its Cooperation Programme for the South Caucasus 2026-2029, Switzerland supports Georgia in areas such as human security, democratic governance, climate resilience, and inclusive green economic opportunities.
The relationship between Switzerland and Georgia is also shaped by businesses, researchers, students, artists, and individuals who create lasting connections between the two countries.
